INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY EVENT A SUCCESS
RECC and our partners in the East Side Consortium organised an event for International Womens Day which was held in Redbridge and enjoyed by all those who attended – forty-three women in all throughout the day. The next event will be held in Waltham Forest and will be about violence against women and female children. Let us know if you would like to get involved.
Our picture shows some of the speakers and guests enjoying the morning session.
EAST SIDE CONSORTIUM
RECC has now formed a consortium with Waltham Forest Race Equality Council and Barking & Dagenham Racial Equality Council to work on two projects funded by the Equalities & Human Rights Commission.
One project has already produced the leaflet on Equalities & Human Rights mentioned overleaf and we are now in the process of organising a debate for schools, a training event for local employers and training in Human Rights for voluntary groups. If you would like to know more or want to get involved, please contact us for more information.
We also have speakers on Equality & Human Rights and the work of RECC who we can send to YOUR organisation.
